Spring Summer '2020

This year Kahindo celebrates its 10th anniversary with a Spring/Summer collection rooted and inspired by the African heritage and culture of its designer Kahindo Mateene. Vibrant prints in considered colors and meticulously cut silhouettes are carefully crafted to complement and empower the female figure. From strapless gowns, shirtdresses, jumpsuits, and a pleated kimono in canary yellow, this collection was created with the confidence of the women who the designer admires; intelligent, passionate, and driven.

This season Kahindo collaborated with Nigerian artist Dipo Doherty to develop exclusive textiles and fabrics. Inspired by his paintings, rich in colorful pigments a print with deep red and purple hues comes to life in a strapless jumpsuit ($495) and sleeveless shirtdress ($411). “We create statement pieces for the Kahindo woman and this season felt joyous and celebratory hence our exuberant color palette.”
